1comment Activision to auction off Bizarre?
Posted Tue 16th Nov 2010 9:32pm by Ashley Martin
According to Develop, the UK-based developer Bizarre Creations is facing closure after its racing IP Blur failed to achieve commercial success.

Despite praising the Liverpool studio, parent company Activision has stated that “the fundamentals of the racing genre have changed significantly” and that “broader economic factors” are to blame for the closure. It is speculated that 200 jobs could be lost as a result.

"Bizarre is a very talented team of developers, however, because of the broader economic factors impacting the market, we are exploring our options regarding the future of the studio, including a potential sale of the business."

And let’s face it, all those mediocre Blood Stone reviews can’t have helped.
