Classic Star Wars Role-Playing adventures spotted in the wild
For a Fan of the Bioware series of Star Wars Role Playing Games, this might seem like the best news since The Old Republic. A collection containing both the original KOTOR and its sequel has been spotted at both Amazon and Gamestop. As of this point there has not been an official conformation from either LucasArts or Bioware.
Joystiq reportedly contacted a store representative and confirmed that the collection is a PC-exclusive and that it will retail for $20 dollars. The Amazon listing reciprocates this. Although both outlets were able to confirm that, as far as they know, the collection is coming; Bioware has not officially announced anything.
Knights of The Old Republic was released to critical acclaim for both the original Xbox and PC in 1993. It was developed by both Bioware and Lucasarts and became known as one of the best, if not the best, Star Wars game ever created because of the way that it combined Star Wars Lore with D&D sensabilities.
The sequel was created by Obsidian, the team behind both Alpha Protocol and the upcoming South Park: The Stick of Truth. While it didn’t garner as much acclaim as the original, mostly due to a large array of bugs, but it still holds a respectable place in gamer’s hearts because it was more of what made the original great.
