Latest title a prequel to God of War
An announcement on the Playstation Blog revealed a new God of War title. God of War: Ascension will be the fourth console game for the series, and is reported to be a prequel to the trilogy that began on the Playstation 2. It is being developed by Sony Santa Monica Studios.
 
 
Not much is known about God of War: Ascension, though Todd Papy, the game's director, said that more will be revealed on April 30th on Facebook and during a live streaming event on the Playstation Blog beginning at 8AM Pacific Time.

I loved the first two games; not sure why I haven't played the third one yet.
